As a kid I made a big mistake, I prayed to be like my favorite person in the bible, Joseph. Now the praying wasn’t the big mistake, the mistake was not being specific in the prayer. I wanted to have dreams like Joseph, but instead, I got his ability to forgive. How he forgave his brothers for what they did to him, because God was able to work it into something so good.
The gift of being able to forgive is wonderful gift and I thank God for it. It has made it to were I don’t hold grudges and I just let it all go. Because with this gift to forgive, I also will tend to just forget. But this at times is not always a good thing. Some times i need to REMEMBER.
Remembering, not to hold a grudge or to not forgive, but remembering so I don’t repeat the same pattern. This last year, I really learned some big lessons, about what I will and will not put up with in my life. I have gotten to a place and age to were there are things, i just don’t have to put up with, and I won’t.
So as I remember the good, the things that God has brought me through and the friends that have been by my side and supported me. Also to remember the lessons I have learned from those who have not had my best in mind, how they have minumplated and used me. I want to remember the things that got me to that point, so if I see them again in another, I will reconlize. I will remember that I learned that lesson and won’t repeat it.
Because remembering these things aren’t bad, they help us not to get in a pattern, not to go in circles and make it to where we can grow and be a better verison of ourselves. So here’s to Remembering and learning the lessons needed.
